Chocolate Pudding (or ice cream!) Recipe

I have the biggest sweet tooth in all the land. Seriously. I won’t even have finished dinner yet before I start asking what’s for dessert. So, needless to say, I am constantly looking for delicious, low sugar, low carb dessert recipes to satisfy that craving.

My favorite treat recently has been Protein Pudding (or ice cream if you freeze it!). It only requires 3 ingredients, and is ready in under 5 minutes, which I love because who doesn’t want their dessert RIGHT NOW?! It’s not the lowest in calories or fat, but the source of fat is a “good fat” (almonds!). As always, you should watch your daily macros and make sure this dessert will fit into your day.

Of course you can use whatever products work best for you, but here are my favorites that I use in this recipe:

TLS Nutrition Shake in Chocolate Delight
MaraNatha Creamy Almond Butter
Almond Breeze Original Unsweetened Almond Milk

**Based on products listed above

Ingredients:

  • 1 serving of Chocolate Protein Powder or Nutrition Shake (as many scoops as that may be!)
  • 2 tbsp Almond Butter
  • 2-3 oz Almond Milk

Directions:

  1. Combine TLS shake powder and almond butter in a bowl.
  2. Slowly whisk in almond milk, little by little, until you achieve pudding consistency.
  3. You can either eat like this, refrigerate it and eat it cold, or freeze it for 45 mins and eat it as ice cream (it’s more like a soft serve texture). Enjoy!

Feel free to get creative by using a different flavored protein powder, adding some crushed nuts, coconut flakes, or even chocolate chips (hmm, I think I’ll try that one!).
